quite good, and twilight blatently ripped off it. Her writing style is often quite simplistic, but it gets its point across. However I was disenfranchised with the series after the last book, which was a bit of a waste of time actually.

Hope it gets better.

I've read all the books and really like them. My favorite chars are Eric and Pam. I really liked Claudine and sad now that she's gone. I like Hunter and hope there's more about him in the next book.

I haven't read all of the books yet, but I love the ones I have read so far. I actually got to proofread some of them at work, which was awesome!

I've read all of the books so far and I think they are really good. Sookie doesn't have a boring life that's for sure!

I don't like it too much, honestly. I love vampires, I love mysteries, so the overall premace of the books would be fine, but for the main character. I ... hate ... Sookie. I'm sorry, but she's a bit of a bitch. I imagine a lot of people admire that she snaps at people and sticks up for herself, but really, that little human barmaid would have been dead in the first book, if these vampires acted the way they were supposed to.

I've never read these. Quite honestly, they haven't sounded very interesting to me. If the vampires are anything like the Twilight ones, no thanks. It sounds like these might be at least more in-depth than that? I hope so. Maybe will try the first one, and see what I think. Wonder if they're on Web-Braille?

I could barely get through the first Twibight book because it was so boring. The Sookie Stackhouse books are definitely more in-depth. They're also a lot more suspenseful, and the characters are much more interesting. All of the books in the series except the last one, Dead in the Family, are on Web-Braille. Dead in the Family is on Bookshare, and I imagine it will be added to Web-Braille sometime in the future as well

I do agree, it's definitely better than the twilight series. And if I'm not mistaken, the television show True Blood is based off of all the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series?

I've heard that too. I think the show turned my sister on to the books, because she kept referring to them as the TrueBlood series when she recommended them to me.

I actually kinda like the series, at least what I've read of it thus far. I've only read the first book, but I liked it. Sorry, but I must disagree here. I don't think Sookie is a bitch at all. As to the vampiric behaviour, who cares? I mean, come on. She saved Bill's life! Is it so bad that vampires could maybe have some ethics? I don't think so. I think the fact that Sookie is telepathic is neat. I definitely want to finish the series, one day. Lol. So many books to read, so little time.
